Energy Saving Trust Recommended Scheme was launched by Energy Saving Trust, UK,2002 to identify products with the highest energy efficiency level. This Energy Saving Trust Recommended Scheme recommends using simple and recognizable method t point out energy-saving products to consumers, and this method is Energy Saving Trust Recommended Label.
Energy Saving Trust Recommended Label, UK, supported by the government, is affixed to products that meet or surpass a certain requirement of energy efficiency. To attain this label, products must meet strict energy saving criteria. Energy Saving Trust Recommended is a registered certification mark in UK Patent Office and the products are classified according to their energy efficiency. This label is affixed on 20% of products with the highest energy efficiency. Only products that have met these strict energy saving criteria can use Energy Saving Trust Recommended Label. Currently, it covers 24 categories and more than 2000 products.
Indoor household appliances: washing machines, dishwashers, freezers, electrical or gas-turbine drum drier, electric kettle.
Consumer electronics: integrated digital TVs, set-top boxs, Digital TV recorders, energy-saving controllers.
Lighting products: compact fluorescent lamps, metal halide lamps.
Heating devices: gas central heating equipments and water heaters.
